Hi! I’m LaRissa J.

I’m a follower of Christ, a wife, mama, author & content creator.

I love being a wife & mom, so I encourage others in their marriages! My husband, Ja’Van, and I met on Youtube. We interacted with one other online a few times without even realizing we would one day be married. In 2017, we reconnected on Twitter and it changed everything forever.

Ja’Van (click here to visit his website) & I lived in two different states at the time, so we committed to a long distance courtship in May 2017. We were engaged by December 2017, and married by May 2018. During our courtship we decided to wait until our wedding day to share our first kiss at the alter.

We had also saved ourselves until marriage, so we were both virgins on our wedding night. In 2021, I had an unmedicated home birth and brought our first child into the world.

What I Do:

I help Christian women grow in their relationship with God, and embrace His design for womanhood, marriage, and family. God literally gives us a blueprint for how He desires us to live and nurture marriage and family. Let me tell you, God’s plan is the best plan. We simply have to shut out the noise of society and embrace what God has ordained for us- femininity and a beautiful, healthy marriage and family!

I’m a mother with a background of 11 years as a classroom teacher in the public school system. So, I’m also passionate about providing information and resources to help Christian moms raise strong, healthy, godly kids. It is our job to protect our children and instill the proper, biblical values in them.

I also have years of experience mentoring and helping women grow closer to Jesus and make biblically sound decisions. With an extensive Christian background and two years of bible school under my belt, I’ve been trained to work with people of various backgrounds and needs. I enjoy speaking engagements that allow me to teach people how to apply the Bible to their daily lives.
