Hey Lovelies!
Today, I want to share with you my personal thoughts about Dr. Bronner's Pure Castile Soaps. These soaps are known to be 18- in- 1, which means it's one product that can be used eighteen different ways! Amazing right? I was so excited about them that I decided to purchase 4 new bottles of Castile soap! I already had a bottle of the peppermint scent from years ago, and decided that I wanted to try Baby Unscented, Tea Tree, Almond and Lavender! These babies are made of organic, easy to pronounce ingredients and they are primarily only organic oils. The most special thing about the Castile soap is that you can use it to wash your hair, face, hands and body. It can also be used to shave, wash dishes, wash clothes, create household cleanser, mop the floor, wash your veggies, and wash your dogs. Whew, and that isn't even all 18 uses! My Experience I've been using the Baby Unscented to wash my face, with nice results, but I've also seen people use the Tea Tree or thePeppermint for the same purpose. That lets you know that there are plenty of options. I personally really like the Peppermint scent to use as a shampoo and a body wash. When used as a shampoo, you are provided with a thorough cleansing and a nice tingling sensation on your scalp. As a body wash, it gives a lovely fresh, peppermint scent with a corresponding cooling sensation on your skin. I've also tried the Tea Tree oil as a body wash which is nice, but I found that I prefer Tea Tree as a cleanser because of it's antimicrobial properties. I think it's good to use to create a cleaning spray by mixing it with vinegar and water to use to clean kitchen countertops and bathroom surfaces. You can do the same thing using the Baby Unscented and then add your own essential oil of choice. When I tried it that way, I decided to use rosemary Oil, which I really enjoyed. What Do They Smell Like? So, in case you are like me and you're curious about what they smell like, I'll share that too. The Tea Tree smells just like tea tree oil. If you have ever used Tea Tree for something and you know what it smells like, then you have an idea of what the Dr. Bronner's Tea Tree Castile soap smells like. The Baby Unscented is indeed unscented, but if I had to give it a smell, I'd say it smells most like neutral oils. After all, it is made of oils like Olive Oil and Jojoba Oil. Dr. Bronner's Lavender Castile soap smells similar to lavender oil, and it reminds me of something perfect for a nice warm bath or hot shower before bed. I think it's great for a nighttime body wash because of it's relaxing and calming fragrance. When I was shopping for the right scent, my biggest curiosity was regarding the Dr, Bronner's Almond Castile soap scent. Now that I have it, I can tell you that it reminds me of an almond extract that you would use in baking. I know that some wedding cakes are made of almond extract, and I think this scent reminds me most of that. All the fragrances that I own smell wonderful, and I like to use the different scents for different purposes. Peppermint for self care, Lavender for bedtime and relaxation, Tea Tree for cleaning, Almond of for whatever I desire in the moment, and Unscented for facial wash. I'm sure that with more time, I will discover more purposes of each scent. I want to note that there are other scents available as well, so I encourage you to check them out. I believe these are awesome products because I love the idea that I can purchase 1 bottle, and use it for all cleaning purposes in my home. Gone are the days of having to purchase separate products to have cleansers for the bathroom and kitchen plus more products for face wash, body wash, hand soap, shampoo, dish soap, etc.! Wanna know the best part of it all? It's non-toxic and contains ingredients that I can actually read! I don't know about you but I think I have a long-standing winner! Feel free to leave and comment and tell me your experience with Dr. Bronner's Castile Soaps. If you haven't tried the products yet, maybe it's time you do.
